The Eastern Master:
acutherapy | tui na | chinese medical massage | pre & post event treatments

The Eastern Master is a Tui Na Master Practitioner treatment. Tui Na is a traditional Chinese medical massage that has been practiced for over 2,000 years. Performed through clothing, it involves various techniques, such as kneading, rolling, pressing, and rubbing, to manipulate the muscles and acupoints of the body to promote healing and overall well-being. This invigorating full-body massage starts with the neck, shoulders and arms while you relax in a chair, followed by working the rest of the body on a massage table. This is not just a massage, but a powerful treatment that tonifies and re-balances the body. Tui Na is an integral part of Traditional Chinese Medicine and is still widely practiced today in China and around the world as a modality that can treat a plethora of musculoskeltal issues as well as being superb for maintaining optimal health and well-being.

Cupping Therapy:
clinical cupping | dry cupping | sliding cupping

Cupping therapy involves placing cups on the skin to create suction. Its benefits include pain relief, improved circulation, reduced muscle tension, improved immune function, and reduced anxiety and stress. Cupping perfectly compliments massage as it lifts the tissue, whereas massage compresses, it pulls blood and Qi to the specific point of focus. Sliding and active movement can also be employed to further mobalise tissue.

Embracing traditional cupping and modern clinical sports practice, cupping can be embedded within all of our treatments. Where stagnation is present or cupping is done for longer periods of time cupping can leave temporary circles which although look similar to a bruise, they are not painful and often fade within a week. Unlike some approaches of wet cupping which involves cutting the skin and blood letting, the dry cupping that we practice does not involve puncturing the skin.

Kinesiology Taping:
k-tape | rocktape | sports taping | pain care

Kinesiology tape is a thin, stretchy, and adhesive tape that is used to support muscles and joints during physical activity or to aid in the recovery from injuries. Designed to mimic the natural movement of the body it can provide support without restricting movement making it a great tool for encouraging positive postural adjustments. With precise application, other benefits include, improved circulation, reduced pain and inflammation, increased range of motion, and improved muscle function. The tape can be applied to various parts of the body, including the shoulders, back, knees, and ankles, and can be used by athletes, physical therapists, and individuals seeking to improve their mobility and recovery from injuries.
